Changes to NSW Government
Service NSW is the NSW Government’s superagency that marks its shift towards integrated service delivery.
The superagency has so far amalgamated Roads and Maritime Services; Fair Trading; Births, Deaths and Marriages; Housing NSW; Office of State Revenue; Office for Ageing; and the Office for Environment and Heritage.
Service NSW aims to act as a one-stop-shop for individuals and businesses needing to interact with the NSW Government. This means coordinated service delivery and programs, and new customer-friendly service channels.
These new service channels include a new website, service centres with extended hours, and a 24/7 telephone service.
I’m a NSW public servant – what does this mean for me?
As new structures are built around integrated functions, we can expect a broad range of new opportunities for current and prospective public servants.
Existing public servants may also be required to formally apply for their current positions or equivalent roles.
I need help with my application!
You may be asked to submit a short expression of interest, formal response to selection criteria, a resume and/or a cover letter.
As with all government applications, be sure to read through instructions carefully to meet application requirements.
If you are a NSW public servant or seeking to join the NSW Government, you can give our friendly client managers a call on 1300 608 211 for an obligation-free chat about your application.
